Little story this reminded me of:
Back in high school, I believe it was our senior year, they do something called Total Rock. Our last year there, they made everyone sit down the entire show due to all the moshpits and overall rowdiness the students would become. My boyfriend was in one of the bands being featured and they were the last ones to go. Their lead singer was singing one their songs and at a breakdown he told everyone to get up and that this wasn’t how the show was supposed to be. He said “We’ve got a little bit of time left, you shouldn’t be sitting, get up. They can’t do anything” (Or something like that, I can’t remember word for word). So we did - and then they played Streetlight Manifesto’s Somewhere in the Between. It was a pretty powerful moment and a night I will never forget.
